We all love a good celebrity story. Especially when actors and actresses suddenly tread on the fashion designer line and we wonder whether they will trip or successfully make it over in one piece. Of course, we also get really frustrated, for we much prefer those in the world of fashion to have always worked as such. It just makes more sense in our minds to see everyone in their own space, without so many crossovers. In this day and age though, that might be a little much to ask for. Models, singers, reality show stars, actresses and just about anyone that reaches certain fame at one point or another is turning to design and beauty as well, augmenting their status with a larger reach through the masses. Jessica Alba is no exception, who’s now collaborating with DL1961 to launch a denim line.

The gorgeous actress, Jessica Alba, has long been one of the most stylish ladies on the red carpet. She has also been a denim fanatic working with everything from stonewashed short shorts, Mariah Carey waistband cuts, classic Levi’s, gorgeous overall, colored jeans, boyfriends and skinnies, distressed and white-washed… you name it, she has it. Her own admission to this has left us with wide eyes; how on earth does one amass a collection that takes up two whole racks, each hanger double up?

As such, we are not surprised at all to see that her first foray into the world of fashion is through designing a line of denim that she will be wearing before anyone else.
